Sunset Coast Properties – Love where you live Our Story Sunset Coast Properties was established as an independent entity in 2009 when visionary partners Rene Vercuiel and Justus Brandt made the strategic decision to continue their successful real estate business under their own brand. United by a shared commitment to community service and creating lasting value for future generations, they built upon their years of proven success to establish a real estate company rooted in genuine passion for helping people achieve their property dreams. Our Founders Rene Vercuiel, our principal, brings a wealth of diverse business experience and over two decades of real estate expertise to the industry. Her entrepreneurial journey began in banking, running various new enterprises and progressing through to Real Estate - She has successfully part owned and operated various businesses including a cleaning service, exhaust and tyre business, and brick and block making enterprise, then she went onto short term insurance, medical aid, pension funds and investments ending with the Liberty Group before discovering her true passion in real estate. She began her property career in Real Estate as a qualified property practitioner in January 2004 with Pam Golding Properties, later advancing to RE/MAX in 2007. Together with Justus, she purchased their own RE/MAX franchise in St Helena Bay in 2008, building a highly successful operation over ten years. Their dedication and excellence were recognized in 2016 when they were honored as Broker Owners of the Year for a single franchise . Our other Founder Justus Brandt – began his career in the banking industry and became a respected senior bank manager over various branches starting in Trust Bank and ending with Absa spanning 30 years. Justus then joined the Real Estate industry in 1998 with the Golding group and remained there until He and Rene started Sunset Coast Properties 10 years later moving from Blouberg to St Helena Bay in 2008.They opened their doors in June 2009 as Sunset Coast Properties. Together they bring 48 years of Real Estate Experience into the Group. Justus 27 Years and Rene 21 years. In 2017, Rene and Justus made the strategic decision to disenfranchise from the RE/MAX brand and continue their business independently as Sunset Coast Properties. The name was inspired by the exquisite sunsets along our beautiful coast – sunsets that remind us that no two are alike, each one beautiful and unique.
