Seeff Midlands
Property Investors are looking to the KwaZulu Natal Midlands as a highly sought after area. Home to the Midlands Meander, spectacular scenery, some of the top schools in South Africa and with easy access to all that KZN has to offer, it has captivated the hearts of many locals and tourists as a prime destination. The Midlands is at the foothills of the Drakensberg with Hilton to its south, and the Karkloof Nature reserve (a vast grassland and wetland area with stinkwood and yellowwood indigenous forests) on its eastern side.
History of the Seeff Midlands branch
Joan Ridl and Sean Moffat are the current Licensees. Sean began selling properties in 2008 when property was at an all-time low. He then formed Garlington Sales and Rental and he and Joan became partners in 2019. They operated for two years before they acquired the licence from Seeff for Hilton, Howick, and Nottingham Road.
Two years later they acquired the licence for Pietermaritzburg. Despite their journey starting during a recession, they have grown to 17 agents over the three branches. Supporting, guiding, and helping clients find their dream property in this exceptional area of Kwazulu-Natal.
Sean and Joan and their team pride themselves in having one of the best Seeff branches in 2023. They have two Chairman’s Awards each and can proudly say they have achieved many accolades over the years including being awarded an Excellence Top Achiever Award for selling licensees in 2021.
Community Commitment
There is a very close sense of community in the Midlands which Seeff Midlands is proud to be a part of and contributes towards. Uplifting the community and empowering people is an important part of their ethos and they encourage others to participate as well. Seeff Midlands supports their local SPCA and the Salvation Army as well as other initiatives, organisations, events, and activities throughout the year.
Midlands Real Estate Transformation
The average time it takes for a property to sell is approximately one and a half months however, with the rising interest rates, it may take a little longer. Currently, there is an above average sales in the area. People are migrating from Pietermaritzburg to Hilton and Howick in search of a lifestyle change with Howick becoming increasingly popular with those of retirement age with the incredible villages, estates and complexes catering specifically to this group.
Property Offerings
The area currently offers a diverse portfolio of property which includes housing estates, developments, modern contemporary living, small holdings, garden cottages and properties on newly developed golf estates. Investors have a plethora of properties to choose from and families have wonderful options open to them depending on their needs and lifestyle wishes.
The Seeff Midlands team has a young and positive attitude and is one that takes initiative and strives to ensure an excellent service experience and outcome for their clients. A reputation of integrity, family values and knowledge of the industry are vital in an innovative and fluctuating property market.
The professional and dedicated team at Seeff Midlands look forward to sharing this diverse offering of properties with those looking to Pietermaritzburg, Hilton, Howick, the Midlands and Nottingham Road for a new home, lease on life or a new adventure.
