Part of the Swartland region in the Western Cape, Riebeek Wes is located on the R311 and is close to Moorreesburg and Riebeek Kasteel. Two of South Africa’s major political leaders were born here, namely General Smuts and DF Malan. Both were born on farms in the area. Primarily an agricultural and retirement community, Riebeek West is home to a number of farms for sale, as well as various residential houses and homes to buy.

The Riebeek Valley has an abundance of vineyards, olive groves and wheat fields, which make it one of the most fertile and most beautiful areas in the Western Cape. It has become extremely popular with those who wish to buy property and is even referred to as the “new Franschhoek”. Riebeek West offers more peace and quiet than its neighbouring town, Riebeek Kasteel, as well as a variety of large Victorian houses and homes for sale.
