Kleinmond

The name Kleinmond derives from the fact that this town lies on the small mouth of the Bot River and is within the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve. The Palmiet Mountains is the backdrop and the Atlantic Ocean the front. 1 600 plant species offers an outdoor experience with numerous nature walks. The Wild Vlei horses area are believed to be the only of its kind in a wetland habitat and can be seen near the Rooisand Reserve near Kleinmond. This area are also home to approximately 360 species of birds. Living in the mountains are troops of shaggy Chacma baboons and rock dassies. Beautiful white beaches and lagoons and a perfect holiday destination.
