Uniondale

Uniondale is a charming little town in the Klein Karoo, located close to the popular towns of George, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. The name is derived from the two villages Hopedale and Lyon, which was formed when these two places became one.

Uniondale is a great base for exploring the nearby attractions including the Little Karoo Wine Route, the Uniondale watermill, the aloe factory and six Anglo Boer War forts – not to mention the famous site where a female ghost can be seen hitch-hiking.
