Also known as the Valley of Cheese and Wine, Bonnievale is located in the Breede River Winelands and surrounded by the Langeberg and Riviersonderend Mountain ranges. The town is approximately 180kms from Cape Town and 100kms from Cape Agulhas. The area has a range of houses and homes for sale, as well as vacant land, farms and smallholdings. Part of the world famous Route 62, Bonnievale is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places in the Western Cape.

There are two cheese factories in Bonnievale, namely Parmalat and Mooivallei Suiwel, producing a variety of cheeses, butters and other milk products. Forming part of the Robertson Wine Route, Bonnievale is renowned worldwide for producing some of the finest wines in South Africa.
