A small coastal resort town in Kwazulu Natal, Umtentweni is situated between the Mzimkulu River and the Mtentweni River and is named after a species of grass that grows on the riverbanks. Known to be a relatively clean and quiet residential resort, the area is ideally suited to those who are looking for property to buy away from the big city life. The neighbourhood is filled with houses and homes, apartments and flats, as well as stands for sale.

Found opposite the major town of Port Shepstone, Umtentweni has experienced a surge in growth recently, as it is increasingly popular as a site for locating retirement homes.
