A small town in Kwazulu Natal, Sezela is home to a sugar mill and is situated at the mouth of the iSezela River. Its name comes from the Zulu expression, “he who smells out” and refers to the legend of a wily crocodile that devoured a number of local tribesmen living on the banks of the river. When the great Zulu King Shaka heard what happened, he vowed that he would have its hide and when he came down the coast with his army in 1828, he kept his promise. There are a number of residential houses and homes for sale in Sezela, as well as various smallholdings and vacant land to buy.

Largely an agricultural area, Sezela has a number of excellent farms for sale, mostly growing sugarcane and other produce. Kwazulu Natal is also known for its dairy farming and there are a number of these business concerns for sale all along the coast and in the interior.
