Stanger
Located on Kwazulu Natal’s North Coast, Stanger holds a significant place in Zulu history, as this is where the great warrior king Shaka Zulu is buried. He was stabbed to death by his two brothers, Mhlangana and Dingane in September 1928 and the Zulu people built a memorial to their king in 1932. A primarily agricultural area, Stanger is home to a number of residential and commercial properties for sale, including houses and homes, farms and smallholdings, as well as vacant land to buy.
Stanger was founded in 1873 and named after the first Surveyor-General in Natal, becoming a municipality in 1949. It is the commercial, magisterial and railway centre of one of the most important sugar producing districts in South Africa. There are a number of excellent farms for sale in Stanger, with many of the homes to buy situated on smallholdings or within the town itself.
