The oldest town of European settlement in Kwazulu Natal, Eshowe is home to the beautiful indigenous Dhlinza Forest, where it’s said to derive its name from the wind blowing through the trees. Although, the name of the town could also be a corruption of the Zulu word for “milk wood shrubs”.
