Glenwood is one of Durban’s oldest and most established suburbs, which extends from colonial style mansions near the KwaZulu Natal University down to the lower income homes near Umbilo Road. There are those who believe that this part of the region forms a barrier of snob value across the great divide formed by Berea Road. Whatever the case, the area has experienced somewhat of a revival in recent years.
