Rosendal

Rosendal is a small undiscovered farming village around 40km north of Ficksburg, which boast stunning views of the surrounding Witteberge. The picturesque village is located only 320km from Johannesburg, between Senekal and Ficksburg.

Rosendal offers the best small town experience one could hope for, with a number of unusual boutique style shops including shops selling herbal soups and hand-woven textiles. With its rural atmosphere and rustic charm, it is not hard to imagine that Rosendal was first established as a farming town

Because of Rosendal’s position around 2048m above sea level, winters get bitterly cold with occasional snowfalls. Summers are mild with high rainfall. Blue Cranes and vultures are only some of the bird species that frequent the area which also boast a large number of plant species. These along with the tranquil creeks line with green willows make Rosendal a place of exceptional natural beauty.

Properties in Rosendal consist of beautiful old homes and various vacant land options. The area is fairly undiscovered and property here is still affordable, however Rosendal has been touted as the next Clarens, so expect these properties to become a lot more sought after in the coming years.
