Seavale is one of those undiscovered little places, right on the sea on the Eastern Cape's Sunshine Coast. Only 45km from East London and its airport - it's close enough to commute and far enough to feel a real sense of escape.
Schools
Kidds Beach Primary School is 15kms away and there are a wide range of schools and tertiary institutes at all levels in East London.
Amenities
Seavale has a general dealer where post can also be collected. There is a village hall and a library (open twice a week). Various events are held on a community basis.
Attractions
Rock and surf fishing are excellent here and the nearby Christmas Rock ski boat club boasts a launch site for deep sea angling etc. Pristine beaches provide a fantastic way to walk your dog, let the kids play safely, surf, paddleski etc. The Tyolumnqa Conservation area between the village and the sea is home to bushbuck, blue duiker and a whole host of birds. Dolphins can be seen playing and fishing in the waves all year round and half the year sees Humpback, Southern Right Whales and sometimes even Orca along the coast.
Transport
The village is about 5kms from the R72 road. Most people use their own cars and often form lift clubs and car shares for jobs, school etc. Buses, trains and planes go to the nearby city of East London, where car hire is also available.
Local Industries
History
The village began its life as caravan sites on a farm. This prime holiday location has since become a friendly, safe village, with some of the best sea views you'll ever find.
