Welcome to the September edition of our newsletter. Spring has sprung and along with the sunshine and blossoms also came good news for the struggling property market. Standard Bank has become the first bank to announce that they are relaxing their lending criteria to make it possible for particularly first time buyers to enter the market. Surely this will inject new life into the slow market.
The count down to the biggest sporting event ever held in Africa has also begun with around 300 days left before the kick-off of the 2010 Fifa World Cup. It might be a bit early to start speculating about the footprint that this major event will leave on our economy and in particular the property market, but one thing is undeniable: The build-up to the recovery of the housing market has commenced.

Change Listing Agent

Agents often need to change or update listing agents, which is why we made it possible for you to update/change the main listing agent for sales, rentals, commercial and farm listings. Simply go to Property Admin, select the agent/s you want to change/update and click Next. Select the listings that you would like to change by clicking in the check box on the left hand side of the report.

Now, click Change Listing Agent at the bottom of the page.

A box like the one below will pop up and you will be able to change the listing agent. Once you’ve selected the new agent, click Update Listing Agent.

Notification of Deletion-Policy
| |
As part of a policy to keep our listings up-to-date the following has come into place:
SAHometraders will delete all properties marked FOR SALE or SOLD that has not been updated in the last 2 years. We will send you notification of this and give you 30 days to update these properties before they will be deleted. If you want to keep a property available for possible re-listing, please mark these properties IN-ACTIVE.

SAHometraders would like to remind you to keep adding your properties on show to our site. If you own a website designed and hosted by us, you can also make use of the ON SHOW space on your website to promote your property on show. It is a good idea to enter the X and Y Coordinates so potential buyers will be able to see where the property is located on the Property Map. Your GPS through Sectional Title Territory |

For many years Shirley Baillie has been involved in Sectional Title complexes, by way of being an investor, and later on as a Trustee. For a large part of the time, she was not aware that there was an Act governing the running of a complex. Like many others, she relied heavily on the managing agents for guidance, not realising that some managing agents also had little idea of the Sectional Title Act.

Key-Word Access to the Sectional Title Act No 95 of 1986 (as amended) is a practical guide in the form of an index, and was born out of the need to be able to access a specific part of the Act quickly and easily. This is attained by means of a comprehensive index encompassing all aspects that arise when dealing with Sectional Title.
