September 2007 Dear SAHometraders Subscriber Herewith are the latest updates to our national site as well as the personalized
websites we have designed for many of our subscribers. This newsletter will be sent on a regular basis and include any snippets of information we think you might find interesting. We will also detail any changes to the SAHometraders website that may affect you. A “Mentioned in the Dispatches” section has been introduced. This will include happenings from our many users. Feel free to send us any of your own ideas or stories for inclusion. Please let us have your ideas for future developments you might like to see. Yours in online marketing One Liner Reports - These can be generated for all listings. They can also be adapted to show info by agent or area and can be downloaded onto an excel spreadsheet. Contacts Database - This fairly new feature allows you to store buyers, sellers and other types of contacts on your SAHometraders back office. Details of anyone enquiring on any of your listings are automatically saved under the buyers section of the contacts database. If you don't have an existing database, this could be a good start. Business for Sale - For those who have businesses for sale, you now have the option to load to our new tab on the SAHometraders website. This has been setup after feedback and discussion with our valued subscribers who are involved in this sector Commercial Properties - These can now be loaded either as for sale or to rent. Any feedback would be welcomed. 2. New Website Features for your personalised site If we host your personal or agency website, the following updates may be of interest to you: If you load a Business for sale or Commercial Property, you will need to request us to add a tab to your personalised site which will take you to these properties. If you do not currently have a personalised website for yourself or your agency, please click here to find out more. Updating Images – this can be a very frustrating process. When faced with a non-updating image situation, we have always suggested Ctrl + F5 to refresh the browser cache (the browser stores all images and web pages on the hard drive for faster access to previously visited pages). We have noted that in some cases this has to be done several times to force the new image to load. Acutts recently hosted their First National Conference at the Champagne Sports Resort in the Drakensberg. Congratulations to:
They each won a new car in a lucky draw competition SAHometraders |

| AGENCY WEBSITE DESIGN AND HOSTING |
In addition to providing the national site SA Hometraders has also designed over 140 agency sites. These are template based, however each site is tailor made by way of look, feel, branding and additional information required. One of the benefits of exploring this option is that properties listed on the agency website will be automatically and simultaneously listed on www.sahometraders.co.za. This double-edged approach of having two sites working for them ensures maximum reach without the burden of having to list twice. The agency website furthermore allows agencies to showcase their own portfolio of properties, information on the area they operate in, and their particular strengths and marketing plan for prospective sellers. These benefits remain whether the agency is an independent or a branch/franchise of a larger brand It often takes time for a browser to dig down through corporate sites to find specific properties in an area. These corporate sites also seldom allow agencies to showcase their properties and areas, as they would ideally like to do. Agency sites are designed at a once off cost of R2 850 and a charge of R114 is levied for domain registration. Thereafter monthly costs are R171 for website hosting, plus normal monthly subscription payments. Please find links to examples of websites designed by us:
We look forward to hearing from you and are also more than happy to discuss further detail telephonically or,where practical, call on you. |
