This survey will help you establish how visitors found your website, which can be valuable to those who want to evaluate their marketing efforts. The result of the survey can be found on the enquiry/contact request sent to you.

• Get Ready for MaxiAgent

SAHometraders are in the process of finalising an exciting new property management solution called MaxiAgent, which will replace our current Agency Admin when we switch over in August 2010. This real estate CRM (customer relations management) based application can be used to manage your real estate agency/franchise/operation by giving you tools to manage contacts (buyers/sellers/tenants/landlords etc), mandates, sales, commissions, marketing, administration, reports etc. MaxiAgent is a user-friendly tool, which was developed by SAHometraders with you, the estate agent/principal/franchisor in mind, and will

• Chateau Properties Welcomes Prize

Congratulations to Chateau Properties who won the Property Map Competition. Megan van Niekerk accepted the Garmin GPS on behalf of the agency in Durbanville. • Copyright Your Images

The issue of copyrighting images on SAHometraders has recently come up, so we decided to shed some light on the watermarking of images in order to prevent people from copying and using your images. Our website protects your images to a certain point but it doesn’t stop people from technologically manipulating the system. A solution might be for you to watermark your images with your website address, agency name or logo, like I did with the ones below:

Photoshop users can easily apply a watermark to their images (click here to find out how) or you can use the various online programmes like www.picmarkr.com to help you watermark you images. Some sites even offer software that can be downloaded onto your computer to make it even easier for you to batch watermark images. A Google search will bring up the options.

• Overall Problems With Internet Connectivity

For certain of us, last week was marked by Internet connectivity problems due to maintenance work on the Seacom Cable. These disruptions were felt as far as the Middle East and interrupted many services across Europe, Asia and Africa. We appreciate that web-based businesses like ourselves will have to deal with these disruptions from time to time and like those of you who were left with the frustration of not being able to access the Internet or send/receive email, we are happy that all is back to normal.
