As an estate agent, a big part of your job concerns knowing the area that you sell in. For this reason, estate agents are often the best people to turn to when seeking information about unique selling points of a town/city/suburb. We understand the importance of relaying this information to potential buyers, that’s why we came up with a way for you to share your knowledge about an area with your online audience.

The Area Wiki is a way for all SAHometraders subscribers to generate a complete and accurate description of an area for potential buyers. By sharing your information, you will be contributing to success of this project that is ultimately aimed at giving potential buyers all the information they need to make a buying decision. We believe that more information will mean more visitors and although we cannot promise that you will get more enquiries, we can say that a complete area description could influence a potential buyer’s decision to enquire about properties in an area that you operate in. To show you how much we appreciate your efforts, all contributors will be accredited with a link back to their listings from the area info page.

Please note that you are not allowed to publish any marketing material like your agency’s name, contact details, address, etc. Also, please refrain from copying and pasting information that is already published on the Internet. It is important that the content in our Wiki is unique. Before your information is published, a human editor will review your entry to make sure that it complies with these terms.

To start adding to or editing current area information, log into Agency Admin, click on Area Description and choose the area you want to contribute to. You will be able to load information about an area’s History, Geography and Climate, Attractions, Transport, Schools, Local Industries, Amenities, Demographics and Calendar of Events.

On 1 September 2010 the Agency Admin system that all our subscribers are currently using to load property, will be replaced with an improved version called MaxiAgent. This system was designed to increase the speed of loading properties and to make the whole process more user-friendly. On top of this, MaxiAgent also boasts a range of other features that can assist you in managing real estate more effectively. Please note that MaxiAgent will not replace our website, just the Agency Admin section and it is free of charge to all SAHometraders subscribers. This month we will look at how MaxiAgent can help you match up the needs of Buyers and Tenants with your current mandates. When you are loading a new buyer/tenant to MaxiAgent you will have the opportunity to:

1. Load multiple requirements for the buyer/tenant
2. Match these requirements with existing mandates
3. With a single click, send the buyer/tenant multiple email brochures of the mandates matching their requirements.

When you are loading a mandate you will have the opportunity to:

1. Instantly match the mandate with potential buyers/tenants (provided that you loaded buyers/tenants requirements)
2. Send a email brochure of the new mandate to multiple buyers/tenants with a single click

SAHometraders would like to remind you that you can view reports relating to your email enquiries in the back office (Agency Admin). Simply log into Agency Admin, click on Reports and use the date picker to select at date range. If relevant, select an agent and/or property type and click next to bring up the report. By comparing the report with the actual emails you have received, you will be able to make sure that you have received all email enquiries. These reports can also be used to keep record of how many property/rental/commercial/business enquiries your agency and/or agents had over a selected period of time.
