Timeshare or co-ownership
of leisure properties in South Africa means that for a fraction
of the cost you would normally expect to pay, you have bought luxury
holiday accomadation for exactly the time you want to use it, and
in perpetuity.
The ownership of your holiday accomadation means that you can do
exactly as you please with the time you own. It is an asset which
can be assigned to heirs or sold. You can use the lodge for yourself
and your family or friends, loan it to others, let it commercially
or take advantage of an exchange through RCI or Flexiclub.
At the end of your holiday you can close the door and drive away
safe in the knowledge that it will be looked after until your return
by an on the spot management team.
A luxury holday home in a perfect location, yours to use for the
rest of your life, for the lives of your children and your children's
children.
Some typically asked questions about co-ownership
DO I HAVE TO PAY LEVIES?
YES. The property and resort facilities have to be maintained as
does the ongoing cost of housekeeping and administration. These
costs are shared by all members in the form of an annual or monthly
levy.
CAN I RENT OUT MY WEEKS?
YES. The weeks you have purchased are yours to do with as you see
fit. You can offer your time to family, friends or as a gift. In
most cases you can also save weeks and accumulate weeks for future
years.
CAN I SELL MY CO-OWNERSHIP OR BEQUEATH IT IN MY WILL?
YES. You can sell your Co-ownership at any time or bequeath it in
your will to family or friends.
WHO IS T.I.S.A.?
T.I.S.A. stands for the Timeshare Institute of South Africa. When
purchasing Timeshare/Points/Co-ownership always ensure that the
Company you are purchasing from is a registered member of T.I.S.A.
All members of T.I.S.A. have agreed to comply with the terms and
conditions of the Code of Ethics.

DO I PAY TO EXCHANGE MY WEEKS?
YES. There is an exchange fee payable to RCI for both national and
international exchanges.
MUST I HOLIDAY EVERY YEAR?
NO. Your weeks can be saved with RCI and carried forward to the
following year.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I EXCHANGE MY WEEKS?
The earlier you make your request, the higher priority your exchange
request will receive, particularly if you are traveling over school
holidays or public holidays. For an international exchange - up
to two years to 90 days ahead and local exchanges - up to to two
years to seven days ahead (subject to availability).
HOW LONG IS MY RCI MEMBERSHIP VALID FOR?
You are affiliated to RCI for a period of current plus two years
and thereafter you have the choice to renew your membership on an
annual basis. Should you choose not to renew your RCI membership,
you will only be able to go to the resort that you purchased at.
AM I GUARANTEED TO GET AN EXCHANGE EVERY TIME I REQUEST ONE?
RCI's ability to confirm an exchange request is dependent upon the
availability of deposited holiday time in the pool applicable to
your membership and ownership type.
CAN I TAKE MY PET ON HOLIDAY?
No pets are allowed at RCI resorts, therefore find somebody loving
to look after your pets while away on holiday.
